We Come Apart

Take a look at yourself now you’re broken, it seems the meaning’s lost, I see the distance growing we really must have paid a cost, Who’s to say what will happen next, how many lives will this disease affect? You know I can’t say for no one but myself, but I’m not the shepherd for everybody else, Was it all a lie? Or did it get to be too much? Did you even try? Or was it that it was never enough?

Where has the love in the world gone? Where has the trust in the world gone? It’s been far too long, still we gotta keep on,

Living in this crazy world, everybody just trying to make dollars, But it don’t make sense y’all, what we need is more loving fathers, And it’s hard to watch as we come apart, people don’t talk to each other, And it’s hard to sleep when the good times leave, what we need is more loving mothers, And you know I’d like to think that we’ll see better days, That I could just blink and all the problems would go away now, But I’m just one man, trying to find the good, Trying to understand exactly what has happened.
