We did it! ...well, truthfully, you did it. This past Friday, October 28th, at 11:59pm marked the end of our campaign and we clocked in with a final total of $5,700.
Thanking all of you a million times would not begin to do justice to how we as a collective feel and it would not explain all that you've done for us. Now we've got to
hold up our end of the bargain and get this album out to all of you and the rest of the world!
…So what's next?
First thing's first...we placed an order to Brooklyn Phono this week to begin pressing "The Pinstripes - I" onto high quality vinyl. From there we've still got to
screen print all of the record jackets as well as work with the All Night Party on production of the CD version of the album. We've got artwork that we'll be ready to
reveal to our backers soon and getting ready to kick things into high gear for this.
Backers:
We will need info from you very soon as far as where to send our rewards. When that time comes, we'll be sending out a survey to collect all of that info
through Kickstarter. We'll make sure to keep you updated on the status of everything as much as possible. Right now, an estimated guess of when you can expect to
receive the physical rewards would be early 2012. Until then, sit tight and look out for more info, as there's sure to be much more revealed in the coming weeks.
Everyone else:
If you weren't able to make a donation for our campaign but are still interested in the release of "The Pinstripes - I", fear not! Look at the top left part of this website.
You can enter your email address in and sign up for our mailing list. We're going to be sending out updates on everything album related through that, so that's the best
way to stay in the know.
And last, if you have any questions about any of this process or are just need some more of the Pinstripes in your life, you can always drop us a line at
thepinstripes@gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you!
Thanks again everyone and we hope you are as excited for "The Pinstripes - I" as we are.
Love,
The Pinstripes

Start Kickin!
You may have heard about it. In fact, it may be the reason you're even at this page. Even if neither of these are the case, LISTEN UP!
We want to put this damn record out. It's been 16 months since we recorded the album, and we want it in your hands already. But in these
last stages of the game, we need a bit of your help.
CLICK HERE TO VIEW OUR KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN AND CONSIDER A DONATION
No sense in rewriting the manifesto here, as it's all described in detail on the Kickstarter page, but there is a bottom line: Help us get
this record physically pressed, and in return, get rewarded in fantastic ways.
For the skeptics the hem-hawers, we'll be sure to stick in your minds by staying persistently loud about this for the next 30+ days.
It's wildly important to us as a band, and we know that with the help of the people we care about (and who care about us), we can reach
our goal and get you the coolest album you've ever spent money on.
That's a promise.

Enough of Summer
The leaves cannot change soon enough for me. We will anxiously usher in the inevitable drop in temperature that Fall brings with it it.
Summer is just about over, and it's time to move forward with some big things.
A great many number of shows are coming up that are worth getting excited about. Check the Shows page for full details,
but here's a few of the crucial ones for our Cincinnati Culture Collective:
September 16 @ Northside Tavern (Free Show)
September 21 @ Great American Ballpark before the Red's last home game of the season
September 23 @ Blue Wisp Jazz Club for Midpoint Music Festival
October 14 @ The Drinkery w/ Obi from Westbound Train, Green Room Rockers
We're also unveiling a Kickstarter campaign in the near future, so stay tuned! Let's get this album out, already!

Cure Fi Wednesday Reggae Fever
Huge ups to Fountain Square for keeping this city on the forefront of free entertainment for it's people,
and for the opportunity for us to play to this city's great reggae love community. Thank you to you, if you were able to make it and party with us last night,
I hope you enjoyed it even just a fraction as much as we did.
If you were able to get some photos or video of us playing, we would love to see them! Scoot on over to our
Facebook page and share them on our wall, or if you'd like, you can email them to us and we'll put them up for you.
The Pinstripes are going on a bit of a Cincinnati hiatus for a moment until we leave for an east coast tour in August, but if you're looking for a smashingly
soulful sunday evening, you'd be seriously smart to select Summer Soulstice
(featuring members of The Pinstripes) for your entertainment.
See you in a while, Cincinnati! Thanks for a great night!
Reggae love: don't deny it if you feel it! Colin wins a post-show kiss
Bestfest, Cincinnati
Thanks to all of you who checked us out at Westfest this past weekend, and even more thanks for finding our website. We're glad you dug it!
We've got a bunch of happenings this July, both in town and on the road. If you want more free outdoor music, check us out on July 6th @
Fountain Square's
Reggae Wednesday, or if you're more of the party type,
come get loose with us this Saturday July 2nd at the PBR Independence Day Throwdown at
the Southgate House in Newport. Try and stop us.

Terror In the Streets
Success in numbers. We had a great time on the road. Besides playing some great shows to some great audiences, we were able to link up with some crucial people,
including the one Victor Axelrod. Aside from those experiences, it was great
to be out of the home state for a small little bit, and get a chance to see some old friends in NY.
However, now that we are home, we change gears, and get ready to bring the East Coast to Cincinnati. This Sunday, we will be hosting Royal City Riot from Long Island, and
The Beatdown from Montreal, Canada at The Mad Hatter. If you want all of the details, check out this video, or get wise to the
Facebook event.
It's an early show, starting at 8pm, but it is ALL AGES, for all you 9 year olds who want to come be a part of this madness.
For Immediate Release
We lost our hour to Daylight Savings Time. To me, that means no more winter. No longer are we bitching about snow and ice storms.
No longer do we need to wear three sweaters and a ski mask to go outside. And no longer will we stay in Ohio.
April 5th through April 9th, the vintage Pinstripes (Vintagestripes?) will be reuniting for a week-long run on the road, outside of the Midwest.
5 shows in 5 days across the great state of New York. This tour will feature absolutely no substitute players (Matt and Casey will be rocking the guitar
and drums), and we may even be accompanied by a guest keyboardist. More details on that one soon. If you live near NY state, definitely take a hard look at
the details of these shows and try to make yourself available for at least one of them. This will likely be our last run out to the East Coast for a good while.
Catch it if you can! Check the "BandPage" tab on our Facebook page, or our
shows page
for complete and up-to-date details on all of these shows.
Let's Party, New York.
New Beginnings, New Gifts
Twenty Eleven. Welcome to it. The new year is an exciting time for everyone. Fresh starts, no excuses, no hesitations. We're taking that and running with it.
This year will be one of many strides for us, and we ought to be seeing almost all of our friends across the nation at some point this year.
That's exciting enough as it is, but to add to it, we'll come bearing the gift of new music. The much-anticipated album will finally drop this year.
THAT, my friends, is a guarantee! And once it does, we'll hit the road. Tentative plans include a 3 week run to the east coast area, followed by a 4-5 week
jog that will take us out to the great western and southern states, the likes of which we've never seen in a tour van before.
The album is going to the studio to get mastered this week, but while you all patiently wait (and you have been patient), we're going to start releasing short
clips of the final mixes out to you via our SoundCloud. We'll be making a new blog post on this site
for each preview track. First in the series. Good ol' "ALRIGHT BABY."
If it's nice, play it twice, Selectah!
Fretboards > Keyboards
The Pinstripes have been relatively internet-dormant recently.
If you know much about The Pinstripes, though, you're secure in the assumption that an absence from the
internet means that lots of music has been going on. And how accurate your assumption would be!
Tonight, we bring our sound to the Southgate House Ballroom at NINE OCLOCK PM for a set that will be one for the books.
Matty Kurz is back in town, as well as Casey Weissbuch, and we'll be playing a jam-packed set (no pun intended) for everyone and anyone willing to watch.
You'd be smart to make yourself be one of them. Both Sean Peters and Chris Grannen, our full-time guitar and bass players, will be there.
Here's a full listing of the details. Get hip.
To our regional friends, we come bearing gifts in the spirit of the season. We will be making a run through CHICAGO, SCHEREVILLE,
INDIANAPOLIS, and LOUISVILLE starting the week after Christmas. For a list of dates and venues, check the left margin of our ubiquitous
Facebook fan page or our shows page.
And finally, a LONG OVERDUE thank you to all of those who were able to invest their time to vote online and help us win the
Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best World Music act in 2010. Serious respects and humilities. Let's get "Album of the Year" in 2011!
see you tonight.

it all off with a FREE SHOW at home with our Chicagoan brothers, THE DRASTICS. Check out the flyer for all of the details.

FREE "Sweet Lovin" Digital Single
This brand new tune is a rare groove of sorts for the Pinstripes. It features a sound and style that, heretofore, the band had not yet
touched. The song, penned by Mike, is the result of a summer of listening to the heavy backbeat riddims of the Roots Radics and the
legendary singers they backed, such as Gregory Isaacs, Barrington Levy, Eek-a-Mouse, etc, combined with the band's love of the old
school harmony groups a la the Heptones, the Melodians, and the Techniques.
It was taught to the band and this impromptu recording was made the very same day after practice at Mike's House. In addition to some
tight drum and bass work, it also features the sounds of a vintage Hammond M-3 that lives in the house. This tracks plays well, anytime,
day or night, all year round; a sure shot heavy hitter.

From the Depths We Emerge
Summer has come and Summer has gone, and we now sit atop a mountain of new recorded music for the unsuspecting public.
We've spent the past two months working on this album, and we are finally ready to start blending all the pieces together
and hammering out some final mixes. Too much of a good thing spoils an appetite, so we won't carry on much about things until
they materialize... but trust that we're clocking plenty of overtime hours on this album to make something you've never heard
the likes of before in your life.
This fall marks the return of the Pinstripes live show juggernaut, as well. September 18th will put us in Albany, Ohio, just outside of for the
2010 instantiation of Ohio's Paw Paw Festival, and the following Wednesday,
the 22nd, we'll be playing on UC's campus for the first day of classes festivities outside of TUC. And for those with an itch for
the more traditional Pinstripes gig, we'll be rockin' Christie's Biergarden on Oct 02 as a part of the distinguished
Clifton Heights Music Festival.
More shows (and a potential residency in the city) are being worked
out on the daily, so keep checkin in.
Also, thanks for coming to our website. Here's a treat for you. If you like what you see, pass it on. Sharing is caring.
Love,
Chris
Everyday I'm Hustlin'
Are you excited about this new album yet? If you're not, then you're probably not in The Pinstripes.
Cause you had better believe we're ridiculously pumped on it. If you've been to a show in the past six months,
you've probably heard a good chunk of the material from the future record being played live. And if you haven't
been to a show in the past six months, prepare to be delighted. We've got almost all of the songs somewhat put together,
and now that our little gentleman, Mr. Casey Jordan Weissbuch, has returned from the floodplains that is Nashville, TN, we
are ready to knock these songs out and get them tighter than a gnat's asshole. If you want to come by the practice space some
evening in the next two weeks and listen to some songs, get a hold of us somehow, we want constructive criticism!

In the next few months, The Pinstripes will end yet another lineup era. Come July, we will be sending
Matt Kursmark, our beloved guitarist, designer, manager, financier, beard elitist,
and brother off to bigger things out west. The man landed a job with ADOBE in San Francisco,
and will be working with some of the best, most creative people in the country. So with heavy hearts, and resounding solidarity,
we will help him transition to the next phase of his life. Be sure to get some face time with him before he leaves,
and tell him what a great dude he is.
HOWEVER! This, by no means, indicates an end to The Pinstripes. We will be working our asses off through June to accomplish
everything we possibly can while we still have Matt with us. This includes songwriting, playing on Fountain Square and
Taste of Cincinnati this summer, recording a new album in Chicago (with Anthony Abbinanti of
THE DRASTICS), and bringing
European rockers, The Moon Invaders, to our hometown.
You can sleep when you're dead.
Keep in touch! We'll be at home working.

Word, Sound, and Power.
Spring is nearly upon us, the Olympics are over and Dr. Dre's new album still hasn't come out yet. Aside from these things, we've actually been pretty busy.
A lot of our time has been spent gigging and rehearsing up the newest member of the group. We're proud to announce the addition of Leo Murcia, he'll be
blowing the trombone and singing some sweet nothings into your ear.
Our friend Chap Sowash left the band at the end of January after 4 years of hard work and dedication.
He's a gentlemen and a damn fine trombone player and we have only love for the man. We wish him well in all his future
endeavors and although we will miss his smiling face and smelly feet, we are excited to get to work with Mad Mouth Murcia.
We're also excited to be seeing old friends and new when we finally return to the east coast later this month. We've got a
fantastic tour kick off show at the Mad Hatter on St. Patrick's Day to boot.
All this and more over at our shows page.
Then we finally re-upped some of other the sections of the site including the free stuff and merch
sections so please, if you're already here, take a look around. I think that's it for now....
Oh and we played last night with Fishbone and
The English Beat.
If you ever have a chance to see either of these bands and are on the fence about it...go see them. They change lives. Just sayin'.
Ska is Dead. Seriously.

THE WINTER BEGINS
Welcoming in 2010. The holidays are over, and now it's time for much more important things, like playing reggae music in your city.
In about two weeks, we embark upon our weekend warrior schedule of touring. We'll be trying to hit as many different cities as we can
in the midwest between now and the end of March. Notably, we'll be coming to Knoxville, Detroit, St. Louis, and probably a run out to
New York State later on. Check our tour schedule for an updated list.
For you special Cincinnatians, we'll be blowing up the Southgate House Parlor on
January 15th with the
Frankl Project,
the Happy Maladies, and Jahlumbus homeboys
Stretch Lefty. Definitely not a show to miss.
It's a Friday night. Come get loose! 5 bucks at the door, and this show will be
smoke-free

Check it out. Available to you now includes a wide variety of Pinstripes artifacts. Organized photo albums, an awesome video library,
a comprehensive and detailed list of live performances, and lots of other things for you to find on your own.

Ska is Dead. Seriously.
On Monday, November 9th, we are playing on the Ska Is Dead tour at the Mad Hatter in Covington, KY. This show features such legendary bands as The Toasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls,
Deal's Gone Bad, and local punkers, Loudmouth. Tickets are $15, but we are running a contest on our Facebook event page. Whoever invites the most people to the event wins two
free tickets!
To our Chicago crew, we have good news: you only have to wait until November 14th to catch us again. We'll be playing with Passafire at the Beat Kitchen and are extremely eager to
get back to Chi-town and to see all you guys there.
Lastly, if you haven't heard already, we've been nominated this year for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award, in the category of Best World Music. We had the distinct honor of winning
this award back in 2007, and are eager to win once more. You can vote on the Citybeat Magazine website here. But hurry up: you only have 'til Monday to get your vote in!
RiotFest 2009 & Punk Rock Grandma
If you missed out on Chicago's Riot Fest this year, you ought to be kicking yourself. So many great bands in such a great city. Our show was awesome, The Aggrolites ruled,
and the Punk Rock Bowling Tournament was a blast. Big ups to Riot Mike for putting it all on.
In other news, this saturday is a very special one. At The Mad Hatter, we will be hosting a night to honor Pat Rice, a local music legend. Our basist, Chris Grannen, produced and directed
a documentary about her, and this will be the first public screening of it. The show starts at 8pm, and the documentary will be played at 11pm or so. For $5, there's no better
way to come out and support one of the biggest supporters of music in Cincinnati.
